אמר רבה בר רב אדא אמר רב כל הנושא אשה לשום ממון הויין לו בנים שאינן מהוגנים שנאמר (הושע ה, ז) בה' בגדו כי בנים זרים ילדו

And should you think, their money is saved [to them], - therefore it is stated: Now shall the new moon devour them with their portions.<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' Hos. V. 7. 'Strange' - i.e., from the ways of decency.');">¹⁴</span> And should you say, his portion, but not hers:<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' Because she did nothing wrong.');">¹⁵</span> therefore it is stated: 'their portions'.
