אביי ורבא דאמרי תרוייהו וישמרך לטובה מצטרף לרעה לא מצטרף

Rabbah and R'Joseph both maintained: Wiyhuneka ['and be gracious unto thee'] combines [with others] for good, but does not combine for evil;<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' Wiyhuneka is the fifth Hebrew word of the verse, The Lord make His face to shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee (ibid. 25) .');">¹²</span> but four is subject to 'pairs.'
