אמר ריש לקיש ארבעה דברים העושה אותן דמו בראשו ומתחייב בנפשו אלו הן הנפנה בין דקל לכותל והעובר בין שני דקלים והשותה מים שאולין והעובר על מים שפוכין ואפילו שפכתו אשתו בפניו
R'Papa said: This was said only of hot [water] mixed with cold or cold mixed with hot; but not [if it is] hot mixed with hot or cold with cold.<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' R. Johanan too admits that this is not a mixture, and it does not combine with other mixed drinks.');"><sup>2</sup></span> Resh Lakish said: There are four actions for which he who does them has his blood on his own head and forfeits his life,<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' I.e., whatever happens, he has only himself to blame.');"><sup>3</sup></span>
