Commentary for Pesachim 42:2

ומותר בהנאה: פשיטא לא צריכא שחרכו קודם זמנו וקמ"ל כדרבא דאמר רבא חרכו קודם זמנו מותר בהנאה אפילו לאחר זמנו:

AND BENEFIT THEREOF IS PERMITTED. That is obvious?<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' For feeding cattle with it is benefit, and it is already stated that this is permitted.');"><sup>4</sup></span> It is necessary [to teach it] only where he charred it [in the fire] before its time,<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' I.e., before it becomes forbidden. ...It was cinged before its time of biur hametz - he is allowed to derive benefit even after the time - For example, that is disqualified from being eaten by a dog, that in any other manner - this would not be allowed (to derive benefit). This is similar to the case of bread that became spoiled cite in the first chapter of Pesachim (15B).
