רבא רמי כתיב (דברים לב, לט) אני אמית ואחיה וכתיב (דברים לב, לט) מחצתי ואני ארפא אמר הקב"ה מה שאני ממית אני מחיה והדר מה שמחצתי ואני ארפא

whilst it is also written, I wound, and I heal!<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' Ibid. This implies that at the resurrection all wounds, i.e., blemishes, are healed. ');">²¹</span> — The Holy One, blessed be He, said, What I slay, I resurrect [i.e.,in the same state], and then, what I wound, I heal [after their revival].
