ר' יהושע בן לוי אשכח לאליהו דהוי קיימי אפיתחא דמערתא דרבי שמעון בן יוחאי אמר ליה אתינא לעלמא דאתי אמר ליה אם ירצה אדון הזה אמר רבי יהושע בן לוי שנים ראיתי וקול ג' שמעתי
R. Johanan said: When thou seest a generation overwhelmed by many troubles as by a river, await him, as it is written, when the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him;<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' Isa. LIX, 19. ');"><sup>28</sup></span> which is followed by, And the Redeemer shall come to Zion.<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' Ibid. 20. ');"><sup>29</sup></span>

"[No] more explicit than this" - When the Land of Israel will give fruit bountifully, this is an indication of the impending redemption, and there is no greater indication than this.
