Commentary for Sukkah 93:7
רבינא אמר זה חלוק משלפניו וזה חלוק משלפני פניו
Ravina said: This one is different from the day immediately preceding it, whereas that one is different from the day that is prior [to the period] which precedes it.
Rashi on Sukkah
That is distinct from the day before - the eighth [day] is distinct from the day before it. The seventh [day] is only distinct from the first day [of the festival].
