א"ר אבהו א"ר יוחנן חוזר ואומר אמת רבה אמר אינו חוזר ואומר אמת ההוא דנחית קמיה דרבה שמעיה רבה דאמר אמת אמת תרי זימני אמר רבה כל אמת אמת תפסיה להאי

R. Abbahu said in the name of R. Johanan: He must repeat the word "true." Rabbah said : He does not repeat it. Somebody descended in the presence of Rabbah ; and when the latter heard him say emit "true" twice, He [Rabbah] exclaimed, "Every emet has seized hold of this fellow !"
