R. Hiyya b. Abba said in the name of R. Johanan : Every prophet prophesied only to marry his daughter to a disciple of the wise, and for him who transacts the affairs of a disciple of the wise and allows him to enjoy his possessions ; but as for the disciples of the wise themselves, "No eye hath seen what God, and nobody but Thee, will work for him that waiteth for Him" (Is. Ixiv. 3).
