Midrash for Chullin 278:7
לפי שנאמר (דברים כב, ז) שלח תשלח את האם ואת הבנים תקח לך יכול יחזור בהרים וגבעות כדי שימצא קן
I might suppose that one should go searching over mountains and hills to find a nest, the text therefore states: 'chance to be', that is, if it happens to be before you.'

(Devarim 22:6) "If there chance before you a bird's nest": to exclude what is normally found there.
