Midrash for Makkot 45:20

ואמר רבי חנניה בן גמליאל מה אם העובר עבירה אחת נוטל נפשו עליה העושה מצוה אחת על אחת כמה וכמה שתנתן לו נפשו ר"ש אומר ממקומו הוא למד שנאמר (ויקרא יח, כט) ונכרתו הנפשות העושות וגו' ואומר

And Rebbi Chanania ben Gamliel also said, If one who transgresses a single sin looses his soul over it, one who performs a single mitzvah how much so does his soul be given to him. Rebbi Shimon says, It can be learned from its own place. That the Torah says (Leviticus 18, 29) "And the soul which performs will be cut off etc" and it says elsewhere

Sifrei Devarim

I might think, (that they were steeped in blood) even after they received it; it is, therefore, written "only" (a term of limitation). Once they received it, they observed it with joy. [Rabban Gamliel says: It states "Only strengthen yourself not to eat the blood". If Scripture exhorted us so concerning the "lightest" mitzvah of the Torah, (not to eat) blood, how much more so are we thus exhorted concerning the other mitzvoth of the Torah!]
