Musar for Sanhedrin 161:11
א"ל ר"ע אלא מעתה (ויקרא יח, כד) אל תטמאו בכל אלה הכי נמי בכולהו אין בחדא מינייהו לא אלא באחת מכל אלה הכי נמי באחת מכל אלה:
R. Nahman b. Isaac objected: May it not refer to a series of offences all punishable by stoning? Thus: 'If he beget a sort a robber, a shedder of blood', refers to a wayward and rebellious son,<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' So called, because he ultimately becomes a murderer, v. supra 72a. ');"><sup>10</sup></span>
Mesilat Yesharim
For it is not only the explicit and well known deed of theft or oppression which is forbidden but rather anything which may eventually lead to such a deed and cause it is included in the prohibition. On this our sages of blessed memory said (Sanhedrin 81a): "'he did not defile the wife of his fellow' (Yechezkel 18:6) - that he did not encroach upon his fellow's trade".
