GEMARA. It is his daughter that he is not obligated to sustain, but it follows that he is obligated to sustain his son, [and in the case of] his daughter also, it is not an obligation but it is a moral duty. Who then is the author of our Mishnah? [Is it] neither R. Meir nor R. Judah nor R. Yohanan b. Beroka?
