היינו דקא בעי מיניה דבר שיש לו היתר מן התורה ודבר שבות עומד לפניו לעקרו כלאחר יד במקום מצוה מאי אמר להן הלכה זו שמעתי ושכחתי אלא הניחו להן לישראל אם אין נביאים הן בני נביאים הן:
Resh Lakish said: As to every man who becomes angry, if he is a Sage, his wisdom departs from him; if he is a prophet, his prophecy departs from him.
