Our Rabbis taught: To whom is the fine given? To her father. Others say: To herself. But why “to herself”? Hisda said: We are dealing here with the case of a virgin who was once betrothed and is now divorced, and they differ in the same dispute as R. Akiva of the Mishnah and R. Akiva of the baraita.
