ולא אמרן אלא דלא אמיד אבל אמיד כפינן ליה על כרחיה כי הא דרבא כפייה לרב נתן בר אמי ואפיק מיניה ד' מאה זוזי לצדקה
This ruling was said only for one who is not a wealthy man, but if the man is wealthy he may be compelled even against his will; as was the case with Rava who forced R. Nathan b. Ammi and extracted from him four hundred zuz for charity.
