Reference for Menachot 77:5

לא חדא קתני שיורי גרדומיו כל שהוא ולימא גרדומיו שיריו למה לי הא קמ"ל דבעינן שיורא לגרדומיו כדי לענבן

Now what is meant by 'remnants' and what by 'curtailed threads'?
