אמר רב יהודה רעים בגופן וחטאים בממונם רעים בגופן דכתיב (בראשית לט, ט) ואיך אעשה הרעה הגדולה הזאת וחטאתי לאלהים וחטאים בממונם דכתיב (דברים טו, ט) והיה בך חטא לה' זו ברכת השם מאד שמתכוונים וחוטאים
'and sinners — with their bodies,' as it is written, and I will sin against God.<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' V, supra n. 3. ');"><sup>16</sup></span> Before the Lord — this refers to blasphemy. Exceedingly — this refers to bloodshed, as it is written, Moreover, Manasseh shed innocent blood exceedingly.<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' II Kings XXI, 16. ');"><sup>17</sup></span>
