ממעשה שעשו אנשי טבריא ואסרי להו רבנן בטלה הטמנה בדבר המוסיף הבל ואפילו מבעוד יום אמר עולא הלכה כאנשי טבריא א"ל רב נחמן כבר תברינהו אנשי טבריא לסילונייהו:

On account of the incident of what the people of Tiberias did and the Rabbis forbade them, [the practice of] putting away [aught] in anything that adds heat, even by day,<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' I.e., before the Sabbath. ');">¹</span> has no sanction.<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' Lit., 'has ceased'. ');">²</span>
