יצאו וזרעו שני ושלישי ורביעי וירדה להם רביעה שניה בחמשה בניסן הקריבו עומר בששה עשר בניסן נמצאת תבואה הגדילה בששה חדשים גדילה באחד עשר יום נמצא עומר הקרב מתבואה של ששה חדשים קרב מתבואה של אחד עשר יום

He replied: Thus said R'Johanan, This verse<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' I.e., Joel I, 4.');">³</span> was fulfilled in the days [of the prophet] Joel, the son of Pethuel, That which the palmer-worm hath left hath the locust eaten etc.<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' Joel I, 4.');">⁴</span>
