Let the child of the first husband be regarded as the child of the second husband in respect of the levirate marriage by inference a minori ad majus: If where the dead were not given the same status as the living, in respect of <i>terumah</i><span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' Cf. supra p. 590, n. 2. ');">²¹</span> the child of the first husband is regarded as the son of the second,<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' Cf. supra p. 589, n. 12. ');">²²</span> how much more should the child of the first husband be regarded as the child of the second<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' And consequently exempt his mother from the levirate marriage.
