סנדל נמי אימר מאתמול עבדי ליה סנדל לא אפשר דמאתמול עבדי ליה דאמר שמואל האי מאן דבעי למיטעם טעמא דמיתותא ליסיים מסאני וליגני

whereas the other Master holds, We do not decree [any prohibition because of such fear]. Our Rabbis taught: Children are permitted all these [matters],<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' Prohibited in our Mishnah on the Day of Atonement.');">⁶</span> with the exception of the putting on of shoes.
