אמר רבי יהושע בן לוי כל מלאכות שהעבד עושה לרבו תלמיד עושה לרבו חוץ מהתרת (לו) מנעל

Joshua b. Levi said: All manner of service that a slave must perform for his master a student must perform for his teacher, except that of taking off his shoe.
