But not 'meat'? An objection is raised: R'Jose said, Thaddeus of Rome<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' Lit., 'a man of Rome'.');"><sup>34</sup></span> accustomed the Roman [Jews] to eat helmeted goats<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' Goats roasted whole with the entrails and the legs on the head, like a helmet (the verb kalas denotes to put on a helmet) . That is how the Passover sacrifice was roasted, v. infra 74a.');"><sup>35</sup></span> on the nights of Passover.
