אמר רבא בר אבא אמר רב חייא בר אשי אמר שמואל כל הכלים שנשתמשו בהן חמץ בצונן משתמש בהן מצה חוץ מן בית שאור הואיל שחימוצו קשה אמר רב אשי ובית חרוסת כבית שאור שחימוצו קשה דמי
And what is the difference in respect of wine of nesek,<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' Nesek, lit., 'libation', is wine handled by a heathen. It is forbidden, because he may have dedicated it as a libation for his deity.');"><sup>16</sup></span> that Meremar lectured: Glazed vessels,<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' Which had contained wine of nesek.');"><sup>17</sup></span> whether black, white, or green, are permitted?<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' For use, in spite of the wine which they had absorbed.');"><sup>18</sup></span>

Q. Is it permissible to scald large kneading-basins, which cannot be submerged in boiling water because of their size, by pouring boiling water over them [thus preparing them for use on Passover]?
A. No, but they may be filled with water and the water heated to the boiling point to render them fit for Passover use.
