איתיביה רב פפא לרבא הקמחין והסלתות של נכרים של כפרים טהורים ושל כרכין טמאין
but barley, which is smooth, I would say that it is allowable. Therefore he informs us [otherwise]. Subsequently Raba said: It is permitted to wash [wheat].
