Talmud for Menachot 84:23

If one finds blue [threads], even though they are twined,³⁰As zizith are. they are invalid, since the blue [for zizith] may be bought only from a reliable person.³¹Or, ‘expert’, who knows that only ḥillazon blue may be used.
