אי למ"ד במוך במוך ואי למ"ד מן השמים ירחמו מן השמים ירחמו

— Rami b. Mama replied: A woman conceals the fact<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' Lit., 'covers herself'. She makes every effort to conceal all signs of pregnancy which might lead to the discovery that the child's father was her first husband. ');">³⁸</span> in order that her child may inherit his share in her [second] husband's estate. Where, however, it has been ascertained that she<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' A divorced woman or a widow. ');">³⁹</span>
