Musar על כתובות 222:3

Shemirat HaLashon

And also in the category of supporting Torah scholars is wedding one's daughter to a Torah scholar. As Chazal have said (Kethuvoth 111b), that [if one weds his daughter to a Torah scholar], it is as if he were to cleave to the Shechinah. And, as written in Pesachim 49a: "One should [if necessary] sell everything he has and wed the daughter of a Torah scholar and wed his daughter to a Torah scholar, so that if he dies or is exiled, [at least] his sons will be Torah scholars."
