Q. Is the Reader (of the Torah) permitted to recite the piyyutim called dibra (דבּרא) while reading the ten commandments to the congregation?*See L. Zunz, Literatur Geschichte der Synagogalen Poesie, 76. Dibra is a piyyut recited on Pentecost after each of the ten commandments.
A. No, on reading the scroll of the Law the reader is not permitted to add any extraneous material lest it be confused with the Text in the minds of the listeners.
