Rebbi Abba bar Zavda preached: Let us lift our hearts on the palms²⁹Thr. 3:41.. Is this possible? May a person take his heart and put it on his hand? So what means “let us lift”? Let us treat our hearts equal to our hands³⁰Which one always washes to keep them clean., and then to God in Heaven. So if somebody would hold a crawling animal³¹A dead crawling animal as enumerated in Lev. 11:29–30, as source of original impurity.
