רב הונא רמי כתיב לענותו וכתיב לכלותו
Rab Huna asked : It is written here "to afflict them," but in the parallel passage (I Chron. xvii. 9) it is written "to exterminate them"!

Edd. read lekalloto "to exterminate them," but the Biblical text has leballoto "to waste them."
