Commentary for Berakhot 20:3

מאי קיר אמר רשב"ל מקירות לבו שנא' (ירמיהו ד, יט) מעי מעי אוחילה קירות לבי וגו'

What means kir? R. Simeon b. Lakish said: [He prayed] from the chambers [kirot] of his heart; as it is said, "My bowels, my bowels! I writhe in pain! the chambers of my heart, etc." (Jer. iv. 19).
