Commentary for Berakhot 28:7

אמר אביי הלכך אנן אתחולי מתחלינן דקא מתחלי במערבא וכיון דאתחלינן מגמר נמי גמרינן דהא אמר רב כהנא אמר רב לא יתחיל ואם התחיל גומר

Abbai said : Therefore we commence as they commence in the West, and since we have commenced, we also complete it ; for Rab Kahana said in the name of Rab : One need not commence it ; but if he has commenced it, he must finish it.
