Commentary for Berakhot 44:8

וחד מהאי זוגא וחד מהאי זוגא אסיפא חד אמר הא דאמר רבי יהודה מ' סאה מכל מקום לא שנו אלא בקרקע אבל בכלים לא וחד אמר אפי' בכלים נמי

And one of the first pair is at variance with one of the second pair on the latter part of the teaching. One says : The statement, "R. Judah says that in every case forty Saot are required" is intended to apply only [to water found] in the ground, but not [to water] in vessels. The other says : It applies even [to water] in vessels.
