ר' ירמיה הוה יתיב קמיה דר' זירא חזייה דהוה קא בדח טובא אמר ליה (משלי יד, כג) בכל עצב יהיה מותר כתיב

R. Jeremiah was sitting in the presence of R. Zera, and noticed that he was very merry. He said to him, "It is written, 'In all pain there is profit'!" (Prov. xiv. 23).
