איבעית אימא משום דאיכא אונס שינה ואיבע"א לאפוקי ממאן דאמר תפלת ערבית רשות קמ"ל דחובה:
If thou wilt, I can say that here there is the danger of the overpowering force of sleep; or if thou wilt, I can say that it is intended to exclude the opinion of those who maintain that the evening prayer is voluntary; and hence we are informed that it is an obligation.
