הטיילין בכל יום: מאי טיילין אמר רבא בני פירקי א"ל אביי מאן דכתיב בהו (תהלים קכז, ב) שוא לכם משכימי קום מאחרי שבת אוכלי לחם העצבים כן יתן לידידו שנא ואמר רב יצחק אלו נשותיהן של ת"ח שמנדדות שינה מעיניהם בעוה"ז ובאות לחיי העוה"ב ואת אמרת בני פירקי

Men of leisure, every day. What is meant by tayyalin? Rava said: Students of the pirka. Abaye said to him: About whom is it written, “In vain do you rise early and stay up late, you who toil for the bread you eat; He provides sleep for his loved ones” (Psalms 127:2): R. Yitzchak explained: These are the wives of the scholars, who chase the sleep from their eyes in this world and achieve thereby the life of the world to come, and yet you say “students of the pirka.”
