אלא הא דתניא שקדו חכמים על תקנת בנות ישראל שיהא שמח עמה ג' ימים במאי אי בבחור האמרת שבעה אי באלמון האמרת יום אחד

But that which has been taught: The Sages were concerned for the welfare of the daughters of Israel that he may rejoice with her for three days: when does this occur? If [it speaks] of a young man, did you not say seven days; If of a widower, did you not say one day?
