התם נמי בהא קמיפלגי מר סבר אדם יודע שאין קידושי קטנה כלום וגמר ובעל לשם קידושין ומ"ס אין אדם יודע שאין קידושי קטנה כלום וכי קא בעל אדעתא דקידושין הראשונים קא בעל

In that case also they differ on the following principles. One Master holds everyone knows that there is no validity in the betrothal of a minor and, consequently he has intercourse for the purpose of betrothal. The other Master, however, holds that not everyone is aware that there is no validity in the betrothal of a minor, and when a man has intercourse [after such an act he does so] relying on his original betrothal.
