ולשמואל כותבין שובר אמר רב ענן לדידי מיפרשא לי מיניה דמר שמואל במקום שאין כותבין ואמר כתבתי עליו להביא ראיה במקום שכותבין ואמרה לא כתב לי עליה להביא ראיה

And according to Shmuel do they write a receipt? Anan replied: This was explained to me by Mar Shmuel; Where it is the custom not to write [a ketubah] and [the husband] said, “I have written one” it is he who must produce the proof. Where it is the custom to write, and she says, “He did not write one for me” she must produce the proof.
