ואמר רב שמואל בר נחמני אמר רבי יונתן הולכין לטרטייאות ולקרקייאות לפקח על עסקי רבים בשבת ותנא דבי מנשיא משדכין על התינוקת ליארס בשבת ועל התינוק ללמדו ספר וללמדו אומנות

And R. Shmuel the son of Nahmani said [that] R. Yonatan said: One may go to theatres and circuses to watch over public affairs on Shabbat; and a tanna of the school of Menashia taught: One may arrange for girls to be betrothed on Shabbat and about a boy to teach him the book and to teach him a trade?
