גראינין או גרעינין אמר רבא בר עולא (ויקרא כז, יח) ונגרע מערכך
Gar'inin or gar'inin?<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' Kernels: with an alef or 'ayin? (The word occurs in the Mishnah supra 76b.) ');"><sup>1</sup></span> — Raba b. 'Ulla cited: and an abatement shall be made [we-nigra'] from thy estimation.<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' Lev. XXVII, 18. We-nigra' is with an 'ayin, and Raba b. 'Ulla connects gar'inin with this, as the kernels are thrown away and so are an abatement of the edible portion.
