תפלה מנין שנא' קוה אל ה' חזק ויאמץ לבך וקוה אל ה'

Whence is it that prayer [requires effort] ? As it is said, "Wait for the Lord ; he strong, and let thy heart take courage; yea, wait thou for the Lord" (Ps. I.c.).
