Musar for Megillah 63:15
בלא מצות סלקא דעתך אלא אמר אביי נקבר ערום בלא אותה מצוה
Without mitzvot! Do you really think? Rather Abaye said: He is buried naked without that mitzvah.
Mesilat Yesharim
Our sages, of blessed memory, exhorted us in many places against the disrespect of Mitzvot. They said: "whoever holds a Torah scroll which is uncovered, will be buried naked" (Shabbat 14a), because of the disrespect to the mitzva.
