Reference for Berakhot 27:8

א"ל טועם ואין בכך כלום תניא נמי הכי מטעמת אינה טעונה ברכה והשרוי בתענית טועם ואין בכך כלום

He replied : He may taste and there is nothing in that [point you raise]. There is a teaching to the same effect : A woman who tastes [her cooking] is not required to utter a benediction, and she who is undergoing a fast may taste and there is nothing in it.
