הי מנייהו מאוחר מסתברא דעני מאוחר דאי אמרת דעני מוקדם ר' חנינא היינו ר' אליעזר אלא לאו שמע מינה דעני מאוחר שמע מינה:

Which of the two is later? It is more probable that the poor man is later ; for shouldest thou maintain that he is earlier, then R. Hannina and R. Eliezer would hold the same opinion ! Must it not therefore be concluded that the poor man is later? Yes, draw that conclusion.
