Reference for Chullin 48:1

(דברי הימים ב ה, יג) ויהי כאחד למחצצרים ולמשוררים להשמיע קול אחד:

It is written: And it came to pass when the trumpeters and singers were as one to make one loud sound.<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' II Chron. V, 13. This verse shows that the singers in the Temple were chosen because they were able to sing 'as one' and could 'make one loud sound'. Such voices as would introduce a discordant note in the choir were eliminated.');">¹</span>
