אמר ליה רב חסדא לרב יוסף מי שמיע לך מיניה דרב יהודה ארוסה יש לה מזונות או אין לה מזונות אמר ליה משמע לא שמיע לי אלא מסברא לית לה כיון דאירסה לא ניחא ליה דתיתזיל

Hisda said to R. Joseph: Did you ever hear from Rav Judah whether a betrothed girl is entitled to maintenance or not? The other replied: I have not actually heard it, but it may logically be concluded that she is not entitled, because [her future husband], having betrothed her, would not allow her to be degraded.
