דקרעינן ליה וכתבינן אגביה גיטא דנן קרענוהי לאו משום דגיטא פסול הוא אלא דלא תיהדר ותיגבי ביה זמנא אחרינא:

[What we do is,] we tear it and write on the back of it: “This letter of divorce has been torn by us, not because it is an invalid document but in order to prevent the woman from collecting with it a second time.”
